Q3 2026 CBAM certificate price is €82.32, up 9.4% on Q2

On 5 October 2026 the Commission published the official CBAM certificate price for the third quarter: €82.32 per tonne of CO₂, up from €75.28 in Q2 and €75.36 in Q1. It applies to goods imported from 1 July to 30 September 2026. The Q4 price is due on 4 January 2027; from 2027 the price is published weekly.

The calculator and every country, sector and product page now use €82.32. Because the cost is certificates times the price, every 2026 figure rises by the same 9.4%. One tonne of hot-rolled flat steel from China at default values goes from €163.35 to €178.63.

The Q3 2026 cost index has six benchmark products priced by origin at the new price, with a CSV under CC BY 4.0. Earlier editions stay on the cost index page for comparison.
