Effective July 3, 2026

These terms govern your use of CBAM Defaults (https://cbamdefaults.com) — the free reference pages, calculator, and templates, and the paid “Analysis-Ready Export”. By using the site or buying the export you agree to these terms.

What we provide

CBAM Defaults republishes the official EU CBAM default emission values in a form that is fast to search and use, alongside an exposure calculator, data templates, and a paid data export. Everything here is informational and is not legal, tax, or compliance advice. The values are an informational republication of EU material; always confirm against the official regulation before filing a CBAM declaration or making a decision.

The export licence

When you buy the export you receive a licence to use the file within your own organisation — for your compliance work, reports, supplier requests, and internal analysis. You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the dataset (in whole or substantial part) as a competing product or public data feed. The underlying EU values are public; what you are buying is the compiled, cleaned, analysis-ready format.

Payments

Payments are processed by Creem, our Merchant of Record, who is the seller of record and handles billing and applicable taxes. Purchases are also subject to Creem's buyer terms. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Intellectual property

The compilation, structure, formatting, calculator, templates, and site design are the property of CBAM Defaults. The underlying EU default values are official EU material reused with the source acknowledged. Our marks and content may not be copied except as permitted by the export licence above.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The site and the export are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We take care to reproduce the EU values accurately but do not warrant that the data is error-free, complete, or current for your specific use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CBAM Defaults is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision made in reliance on the data; our total liability for the export is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
