The calculator now uses the official CBAM certificate price — Q2 2026 is €75.28

On 6 July 2026 the Commission published the official CBAM certificate price for the second quarter: €75.28 per tonne of CO₂, a shade below the €75.36set for Q1. In 2026 the Commission publishes one price per quarter, each the weighted average of that quarter's EU ETS auction clearing prices, calculated in the first week after the quarter ends. From 2027 it moves to a weekly price.

The exposure calculator now multiplies default values by this official certificate price directly, rather than the live EU ETS spot it previously used as a proxy. €75.28 is the price an importer actually surrenders a certificate at in Q2 2026, so every euro figure on the site — the calculator and every country, sector, and product page — now reflects it, rather than a spot quote that had drifted a few euro above.

The move is small in percentage terms and still large in absolute terms: on a high-default product the certificate cost runs to hundreds of euro per tonne, because the default value sits well above the benchmark and the free-allocation deduction only removes a slice of the benchmark, not of your emissions. Re-run your volume in the calculator to see your current number.
